I must agree with him on that one.You dont need a type-r,just a little work on that motor and you probably would be a lot happier.and if not just strap a bottle to that bitch,tune it and run as hard as you want.Good luck with that project ,and have fun

I guess it's almost a novelty at this point... bragging rights if you will. If you're looking for authenticity, there's no cheap way of doing it. These swaps are still in the 5K range. If you are however to just put in ITR parts such as cams, valve train, valves, IM, tb, valve cover, LSD, FD you will end up spending around 3k in parts and labor. At this point, it almost makes sense to sell your current motor to offset the cost of an ITR swap. From the sound of it, you'll be much happier.

I took a different route though... I went the K24/ITR head route. It just seem to make more sense since it would yield more power and definitely more economical and besides, I'm not the JDM purist type.

honestly my cuz had a type-r in his ep and we all said its not really worth it he wasn't to pleased with it so instead what he did was keep the trans and ecu mated it to a tsx motor tuned it and foohgabout it.

haha, i'll be the first to join! i hate JDM, everyone at honda-tech thinks they are JDM...

if you called yurselves the usdm killers that would have to mean ur on the side of jdm :silly: ...but thats not the point my rsx is my daily driver and i dont want forced induction.I just want a car that i can have fun so i wanted the jdm swap and strap on some toda goodies for power but w/e
