it probably wouldn't be too hard to do, you would just need a plate that goes on top that follows the shift pattern, I think it would be more in the way but it would be sick.
Ive seen that style shifter plate on a Civic before...I could show you a pic but my hard drive went south about a week ago...Maybe theres a pic on h-t somewhere.
Exactly. The one reason that cars in the past had shift gates on cars was due to the long throws. The gates prevented the driver from slapping gears by missing the gate.
On cars with trannies like the S2000 and the RSX-S, those gates are so exact that the plate would do nothing but serve a "bling" appearance. But then again, the plate would look more like a fat and stubby "W".
