correct, the RBC or RRC bolts onto the TSX head just the same, no mod needed, we keep both instock for anyone, with any adapters and gaskets to go with it, all from one place!, pm me

Finally going k-series in my EG race car. I have a k24a2 w/ rsx 5 speed tranny.

Im going with the innovative mounts. The question I have is do I need a k24 crv passenger side bracket or mount? Im also in the process of putting my RSX-S harness(02) on the motor and there is a sensor all the way near the crank pulley that the plug wont fit on the sensor. Can that sensor come from a RSX so it will be plug and play for my harness?

im piecing together a k24a4/k20 build...i know froth said that which ever motor the starter/alternator come from doesnt matter, that either ones will work, however ive also heard that you need certain ones for a frankenstein build, and with looking up part numbers for the starters, they are different.

just wondering if anyone had any clarification as to specifically which ones frankenstein builders can use, or if it doesnt matter.

also wanted to say thanks for a great guideline...as i piece my build together, this will come in handy

Okay guys I'm really new to this forum. And I've been doing a lot of research.
I don't know exactly if this is the right thread for this. But if anyone of you could
Help me out on this. I want to order an fd2 type r k20a further built from spoons mechanics with 11:9 compression ratio. From nengun.com. For building a complete badass Na setup. Would it be the right thing to do. Or just get any ep3 or dc5 k20a. Coz it says that the fd2 type R k20a has 215Nm of torque which is more then the other k20's in the market excluding the blueprint engine from spoon the one I was talking about earlier which has sharper acceleration and high mid range and bottom end torque. I really want to pick the right motor. So please help me on this. I'm planning to put this in a 95 civic eg. And also tell me that buying an engine of $6k really worth it. Coz other k20's also cost around this much.

Hi I'm new and I'm looking to doing full k20 swap in my track eg. I was planning on buying a full ep3 and strip all parts need for swap to save money on buying the mounts and so on.. Is it possible to use all ep3 parts onto my eg shell? Don't mind welding or fabricating parts as we are doing a big build with lots of welding. ;)

Like the title says, I'm tired of seeing all the "what do I need for this" etc. posts and I really just hate saying "Search, you'll find answers." While the answers ARE out there they aren't 100% easy to find. I found them on the site, but I've also looked for a while.

I have a 02' dc5 type s... I wrecked the car and wanted to swap the k into my 99' Gsr... What do I keep from the dc5? Has bolt ons and kpro v3... Also, my Gsr has Jdm 36mm... I heard I can use my Jdm axels... Anything will help... Just need to know what I can keep and use during the swap and what I will need...

Axles from the 8th gens and rsx are 36mm. I believe the list a category for swap no swap inner axle options. Or swap the axle things as described above.

Keep the kpro, engine harness, and probably a lot more.

This is a great thread for a newbie like me, thanks. Question: What is the going rate for a K-series install (probably early 2000 motor) engine and install? Are USDM swaps smog legal? How many headaches did you encounter with refs, passing smog, engine fits, etc.? What do you think of B16 or B18 swaps?

How many headaches did you encounter with refs, passing smog, engine fits, etc.? What do you think of B16 or B18 swaps?
Call up a shop that you want to have them complete the swap, some have a simplified rate for the work. You should research the requirements for your area, in terms of the smog aspect; although, I have read most pass often.
I always have, and will always have only K series in my fwd honda's; you are on k20a.org, not b-whatever... so B series are irrelevant.

What about a throttle cable?
Karcepts sells throttle cables for the swap, think I ended up getting the GSR cable and bracket they sell, but that was years ago and I dont remember. Ktuned also sells a throttle cable and bracket too, for swaps.
