Hello everyone I have a rsx type s 2004 with a cracked oil pan iam wondering if the steel pan of the rsx base or Civic si2004 k20a3
Will work on my k20a2?

yes it will directly work.

K-Motor has a nice oil pan gasket for $30 (avg.) Honda does not offer an oil pan gasket for the PRB, these make it alot easiler if you switch back to the K20a2 aluminum oil pan or if you have to replace another steel pan/

service calls for using Honda grey sealant on the bolt for oil pan. clean the old grey sealant inside of where the oil pan bolts went in, clean the old sealant from the bolts if you are not replacing the bolts.

How about those rubber gaskets will they work instead of rtv silicone?

i have never used rubber gaskets. i just use the sealant the service manual calls for and the pattern to which to put the sealant down.

i used a K-Motor oil pan gasket however I still used the sealant as the service manual calls for and how to apply it. as well as to the oil pan bolts.
