quick question....my integra shift knob did not fit on my type-s shifter....the rsx shifter is smaller in diameter??? or something wrong here. i thought i read somewhere that all honda and acura shifter threads were the same from 88 - present....

not sure.. i have a greedy trust shift knob. and i bought a type-s shifter off someone on this site. but the knob doesn't kit the hole.... are there any markings or anything to indicate that its a type-s shifter?

I found the problem. I knew Greddy made parts for Honda's but I guess greedy is too.

Honda knobs have a m10x1.5 thread. Greddy also makes shift knobs with an m10x1.25 thread, which will thread onto a honda shifter maybe 1 or two threads before binding up. Obviously, forcing it on any more will just cross the threads and ruin both the knob and the shifter.

If you want to check your knob just go to a hardware store and buy a m10x1.5 and m10x1.25 bolts. That's the easiest way to find out if you don't have thread guages or taps to check with.

well it doesn't even thread on. its just sits on it and goes right on and off. knob came off my old gsr...smart ass.

not being cocky... i apologize everyone. just wanna figure this out. hrmm. ill snap a pic tomorrow and post it. would there be a problem though if the shifter itself was wrong, not the box though

I don't think that's possible, but post a pic of what you've got and we might be able to help.

dawg... I have a RSX shifter and a Integra Type R knob (DC5)

Jus buy a new knob, no biggie...
