reverse lockout and the 6 speed tranny

hi fellas.

after running my EG K20A2 swap for the first time out at Mid Ohio races, i was quite disappointed with the shifting, especially in 5th and 6th gears. shifter constantly wanted to partially engage the reverse area going up from 4th to 5th and from 5th to 6th. scary stuff, when you are going 110+ mph and trying to upshift from 4th to 5th, and half get reverse gate plus no other gear......

the fix to this is to wire up a manual switch directly to the solenoid on the tranny which locks out reverse. in the stock Type S, this is acuated by the computer. when forward speed rises, it locks out the reverse gate. i simply wired up a toggle switch on the dashboard, labeled it "Rev - Fwd". when the toggle is in "Fwd", the reverse gate is locked out. when toggle is in "Rev" the gate is open, so that all gears can be selected, including reverse.

good mod for you guys to make, i think!
