im still uncertain of what to do when it comes down to the use of the key in order to start up the engine once again. i have a k20a2 with ecu and matching key. so im assuming the immobilizer wouldnt be necessary, can anyone help me with this step of the swap thanks

will the immobiliser is made up of the key the unit around the key n tumbler and the ecu rigth so if iget all that i wont have to get a k-pro or jdm ecu. If thats correct how hard would it be to wire the new ignition into an eg or ek. thanks man for all the help

Ive never used the complete immobilizer system on any of my swaps,so I cant comment on mounting the immobilizer, but from looking over the wiring diagrams,I dont see the wiring being a big deal.
Get a factory service manual and you should be ok for wiring.

You have a few options:

1. Purchase a Kpro from hondata and disable the immobilizer with there software.
2. Run a Type R ecu and ground out the Fuel pump relay.
3. Install the entire Immobilzer system in your chassis.

If you have any other questions you can email me at [email protected]

Thanks,

Will

What do you mean by grounding out the fuel pump relay?

The ecu normally provides ground for the fuel pump relay, which kicks on the relay and allows the fuel pump to get power.
If the ecu doesnt see the coorect key/immob. signal, it wont ground the relay. You have to ground the relay yourself.

This wont work on the type S prb ecu.ONLY the jdm ecu's.

Do you need the multiplexer with a PRA ecu? If you look at the shop manual to the diagnostic of the immo unit then the last point is to check the wire between immo and multiplexer. So I think it is needed for PRA to function with original key and immo.
Any comments?
