ok i know that if you use the pS pump from the rsx you have to notch your hood a lil bit. now my hb is a cx so it dont come with the ps hose at all. is there a differece in the ep3 pulley. like if you use the ep3 one will you need a hose. and also do you need the cut the hood to fit.

the EP3 pulley is used to ELIMINATE power steering - or in your case have a swap without P/S. The EP3 uses electrical power steering - I have look into that as an option but its too complex & to expensive to fit to a EK/EG/DC chassis IMO

Did you look at swapping in the EP3 PS parts, system, etc.? What makes it complex?

I'm considering doing the swap as well, but I may end up looking at the S2000 EPS and try retrofitting that.

As it stands, I'm using the PS that came with the RSX. The only thing that was needed was to notch the hood, and do the "raised hood" mod (lifting the hood about a 1/2" at the mounting point).

the eg swap you can only use the idler pully of an ep3......p/s sticks out like 3 inches past the hood.... custom hood?

its the dc/ek where you have to notch the hood..

putting an ep3.s2k p/s is pretty much impossible....the p/s has its own ecu and runs thru the cars ecu....also the ep3 rack is mounted higher than dc/eg/ek etc....

oh yeah since you have a cx then the idler pully is your best bet.

good luck!

is there anyway to use no idler pully? or you have to do that to use the belt that come with rsx or does that setup uses another belt too
set up (ep3 idler pulley) uses a separate bely 50.5" 7 rib I believe...some guys are not running anything there at all (but using an aftermkt alternator??? pulley - not 100% sure) but i heard this is not good for the motor
