Ok I'm a nooby to this, but this needs to get done. I know the question probably has been asked before but I couldn't find so, maybe it hasn't. How much would it cost(DIY) to put a K20 type r engine into an 88 civic hatch? Engine, mounts, etc...... Also what is a ll needed. I've heard a bunch of people say different things and I just want the facts.
Price for the whole swap?

At the very least,the swap is going to run you around $6k.Thats with the type s k20a2, type r prc ecu,dc tsx header.
The k20a type r engines run about $4500-$5000,so youll have to add another $1500 on top of the $6k,ecu cost considered.
