Okay.... so why all this fuss about the RSX box, the lude box fits under the eg consol right?
I believe the fuss is over how the RSX box puts the end of the shifter pretty high. It's almost to the stereo I think, I'll have to look again.

Yeah, I know how the RSX sits, Just saying if you can use the Prelude... and or Accord box, it would be alot easier, cheaper, and less of a hassle to use them over the RSX box.

they have been proven to fit just fine in EG/EK consols.

From what i remember between the prelude,RSX, accord shifter box the prelude one was the smallest.
With that said, you had to gut out the guts of the box and replace it with the RSX guts. But also even though it sits lower thats not to say that its low enough. I know Katman from the Infamous FF Squad LOL showed me some pics of his comparision

He still had to gut the hell out of his cupholder centerconsole thing to make it fit. I hope these pics clear things up for you.

Katman, if you see this and want me to Take down the pics let me know.

Yea thats another option, Redzone performance i believe makes a box like that in which you put the assembly in there(you have to cut a hole in your chasis though) but it helps it sit lower and have the cupholers over it.

I have what you are looking for........here are some pics of it, We make this box and sell it for $50.00 shipped and it easy to put in if you have a way to cut the center section of the floor in where the shifter goes. one pics shows the center console over it but it is not bolted one......the last pic shows a DC with the center console bolted on!

..its all good regarding my pics elFuego ;)

I personally used the DC5 box and dropped the prelude shift lever in it...the 'lude shift lever has the perfect height and angles toward the driver quite nicely. Sadly, you can't use the '03+ Accord or CRV shifter boxes shown in my images; the way the cables interact with the shift lever is backwards, so you have to use an RSX or 98-01 prelude/accord box, or the older prelude shifter. I gave up on trying to fit my EG console over the shift box for the time being...

btw, i have that Redzone aluminum shifter tray for sale (wound up not using it). Sellin it for $40 shipped.

not to knock on redzones product cause 50 seems like an alright price but its as easy as taking a piece of sheet metal and fabin a small box out of it. You could have someone weld up the seams for you pretty much anywhere. I bring all types of shit to the meineke near me to weld and they usually do it with no problems for close to nothing.... thats if your planning on chopping up the body under there.....
