the import scene where I live is so damn weak that all I race is domestics anymore. The imports that are around here are a joke....90% of everything around here are 15sec. cars...basically stock with some bolt ons. There are a bunch of DSM's but those cars stay at the track usually. I personally don't think the import vs. domestic thing is dead at all. I probably get into some type of arguement (unwarranted on my part) with a V8 guy once a month. Alot of these V8 guys have a true hatred for Honda's around here, and they won't hesitate to be straight up assholes for no reason. In september when I still had my Civic hatch with a mildly built H22/LSD swap I was headed to Sears to exchange some broken tools. There is this guy and his friend up against the wall smoking by the entrance. Well I am walking over and I start overhearing them discussing this dudes mustang. Well I keep walking and the one guy yells out..."hey, there's something wrong with your exhaust..it sounds funny...like a joke". This particular hatch of mine had an HKS Hi Power exhaust with 2.5 inch mendrel straight back then pulling an angle, I fabbed the whole thing...no leaks, no nothin..so I knew he was being an asshole right off. Well I looked over and said, "I dont' think so man" and kept walking. He got all pissed all of a sudden and yelled "Oh I'm sorry, I forgot you have one of those fuckin racecars" and him and his friend busted out laughin. Meanwhile I glance over to see his stock early 90's 5.0 mustang that I could give three car lengths to and still own. I let it go though cause I just get a bad feel from the fuckers. V8 guys are hostile, so nothings dead around here. I make it a point to go after them. All they see are the cars that are a joke...nothing thats about any kind of business.
