I tried separating the outers with absolutely no luck! the lip actually dented quite a bit from hitting it so hard repeatedly...

anyone have any tips, or did anyone else have any problems? right now i feel like i was doing something wrong, i must have hit it as hard as i could with a sledge about 15-20 times :(

i have them on my EG and i can say they definitely work but i had an axle place put them together for me, they did an awesome job, i was lazy otherwise i could have done it, i dont know why the use of a sledge hammer is needed, just hood and a mallot or something.

Try holding the axle vertically by the shaft and hitting the outer hub downward. IMO doing it this way was alot easier then trying to knock it off when i had the axle in a horizontal position.

we got them off completely, we just cant get them back on.... Were wondering if its something to do with base model axels vs type s model and so forth.

according to acuraparts247.com the part numbers for base model, type s, and even the automatic axels are all the same.

I guess well just keep wacking away on the outters today. :/

This combo is for EG's with Hasport mounts correct?

has anybody used this setup with Hybrid mounts?

you have to make sure when your putting the b series one back on that the snap ring isnt binding. also make sure the snap ring isnt too expanded it should be only slightly bigger than the diameter of the axle. if it helps, just slide it on, once your up against the snap ring use a small screwdriver to help compress the snap ring. i should slide in nicely and feel it lock in place
