When I got my k20a2 swap it came with nology hot wires witch im debating on selling. I took the hot wires off becouse I searched and found they can cause internal motor problems if ran with stock pistons.

If I change the pistons is it still worth keeping the hot wires will i see any real power with them? ( I dont see many k's with aftermarket wires)

My car is a daily driver will I run into any problemes?

I also have k pro and hondata says that non resistor spark plugs void warenty.

Are they just sayin this for there protection or will it actualy damage the ecu?
( my car is well grounded)

thanks for your time

Hot wires are a downgrade from the stock ignition.

Why are they a downgrade from stock?

I hear this alot but never hear why that is. Nology says if u run the wires with the stock coil pack then you loose power but if you run the wires with a aftermarket coil pack it allows full power from the aftermarket coil pack.

The direct coil on plug is far more efficient than any long wire can be. Have you seen ANY modern design high performance engine with wires? Nope, because they are a downgrade.

For a older design engine like a domestic V8, it is a upgrade.

Also there is usually a issue with the ECU ignition drivers and the aftermarket coilpacks.
