the only changes made to the car was the addition of VTC killer cam gears and fuelling changes...

For reference a stock JDM DC5R made 135wkw
A JDM DC5R with a K-Pro made 147wkw
A JDM DC5R with a K-Pro and Toda Header made 210whp..

As another note we dont run a Hondata on this car...

I dunno about that, The dyno we used is the most accurate we have, Plus we dont play around with drive loss's etc..
Given that the motor still produces 5hp more than a JDM Spec DC5R circuit car with a CAI, Toda Race header and a Hondata K-Pro running the same fuel, I'd say we arent to far off the mark really...
Thats not bad when we run a CAI, Toda VTC killer's, Race gas, Link Programmable ECU, And an RSX-S short length 4-1 header....
We could of dodged the figures up by playing around with driveline loss's etc and ended up with 230-240whp like everyone else....

I am probably going to run my car up on a different dyno, Its the same one all the young guys over our way dyno there cars on its quite generous.. I will post a sheet from that aswell when I get it down.. I'd be guessing that it would pull around 240whp..

I have been invited to race at a meet at the end of October which if all goes well I will gain the national record which at the moment stands at 11.6 so fingers crossed..
We have a Mitsi AWD trying for the world record, A couple of skylines that run 8.5's one which is in street legal trim including DOT approved Dra radials etc etc.. will be running at the same time..

I hope to get a practice run in before then, hopefully even before the end of the month but we are stuck in the rainy season at the moment so track temp is down etc..

well mine produced 206whp&144ft lbs. with an intake and DTRFAB header, with 2 cel, one was for o2. with no hondata. no tuning whatsoever. with the hondata and the o2 fixed, i plan to make 220+whp.

if you cant compare dyno numbers, there would be no comparisons whatsoever. so that really doesnt make sense. thats like saying that you dont know if your car makes that much power, because a dyno is not accurate enough. its like saying you wouldnt notice your gains from i/h/e because you cant compare it to your stock dyno numbers. :?: :idea:

No you can compare dyno stats from the same dyno using the same calibrations... You can't compare my dyno to yours thats all.. For one I dont run a speedo so we ran another DC5R up on the dyno to get my ratios before I dyno'd my car...
There is alot of little factor's... I can compare my results because it was done on the identical machine..
As for the I/H/E I changed exhausts while it was on the dyno to try to different sizes out.. I gained 3wkw from going from a 3inch full exhaust to a 2 1/2" mid dumped exhaust...

I could say compare my car to a few ITR set-up cars on the clubrsx forum I have an extra 3-5whp but its not a fair comprassion...

i know what your saying. i thought you would have made more power none the less though. and dynapacks read a lil higher than dyno jets if i remember correctly. it just seems you could be making more power. you do have a k20a right?

yeah I have a K20A I am actually making more power than a circuit DC5R that runs a intake, toda header, exhaust and a K-Pro so I'm not complaining and also if I go out and run a low 11 with only 215whp that makes it more impressive...

As a side note on the Dyno. The dynapack we used is closest to the lowest reading dyno in N.Z.

yeah that would be impressive. not saying it wouldnt be more impressive seeing you run a high 10 with 240whp. :D

are you the guy that doesnt run vtec?
