Hey im in the process of doing a k24/k20 build... I have a good deal on a k24a8 block. I wanted to know if i can use that block on an RSX and if i can install a k20z1 oil pump with no modifications??? Also would the head bolt up fine as well? I searched for it on the forums but all i found was k24a1 and k24a2 stuff... Let me know please, thanks

idk what changes were made from the k24a4 to the k24a8. the block will bolt up to an rsx chassis but if its similar to the k24a4, you'll need to mod the k20z1 oil pump to fit the block.

the k24a8 has the same 9.7:1 compression ratio as the k24a4. you'll most likely run into some piston to valve contact unless you run aftermarket pistons.

Can i use the a8 rods with pistons with a comp ratio between 11.5:1-12.5:1??? Or are they to weak? Is there a difference between the a8 rods and k24a2 rods??

they weaker than the tsx ones but they can handle some power. i know of a stock motor making 317WHP with 100shot of nitrous so properly tuned those rods are fine. aftermarket pistons use a 22mm pin so the only option that i know of is the new 2009 oem tsx 11.1:1 comp pistons or the old ones 10.5:1 compression
