I was thinking about getting a k20a2 full swap from a local guy. What is considered a good price? I wouldn't know the first thing about deals because this will be my first swap ever. Here are the specs on the swap:

k20a2 w/ 67k miles
6 speed tranny w/ stock ecu
shifter cable
shifter box
price: $2800

I plan on swapping this to my 96 ek hatch. Please help.

Welcome. Be sure to get a receipt on the goods. Maybe a carfax on the motor serial # too. Have someone go with you to check the tranny out.

if it's a legit motor and in healthy condition, then it's a fair price...just make sure it's complete with wire harness/charge harness,shifter cable/box,and ecu

$2800 is a very good price assuming the motor checks out ok. You will want to make sure that it isn't missing anything as the odds/ends can add up very quickly.
