Re: Need help finding a thread regarding DC5 gauge cluster..
I actually have a whole DC5, so yes, I do have the DC5 interior harness, multiplexor, as well as a K-Pro and a Hybrid-Racing PnP harness.
If you have any suggestions regarding in tying in the Hybrid-Racing harness, the OEM harnesses, cluster and multiplexor, please respond. I'm at a loss for the electrical systems on cars.....but willing to learn and try anything.
hmmm that would be tough to tie in the hybrid-racing harness - because that is meant to tie the DC5 engine harness into the donor cars interior harness (dc2 in your case ) I believe
in my case my hatch is the only car I have & I need it on the road so I bought duplicates of my ek engine/firerwall harness, engine cabin harness, interior dash harness, interior floor harness which I am going to send to hybrid-racing along with RSX-S engine, charging, interior harnesses & multiplexor. Hybrid-Racing will then combine all these harnesses into two custom harness for my car (one engine & one interior). Please note - I was note sure if the floor harness & engine cabin harness (headlights/air cond.) were needed but I got them anyways
Basically what I am trying to say is the dc5/rsx-s interior harness needs to be modified to plug into the donor cars dash & sub-harnesses (ie floor harness etc...) this can be done buy removing the needed plugs on you stock (donor) harnesses & switching them onto the dc5/rsx-s interior harness. When it comes to identifying those wires & plugs I am no expert & Will @ hybrid-racing said his wiring specialist could do it. <---- this is what the guy in the other thread did
last point - I think the hybrid-racing harness (mass-produced one) will be useless except for the fact that it lengthens the charging harness so it can reach the battery in the eg/ek/dc location (towards firewall) whereas in the dc5 the battery is located up front (where our windshield wiper fluid bottles are)
hope this helps some...I will PM you my email addy if you don't understand
