Its not that hard.... the hardest part is removing the crank pulley... I found a special tool at sears does the trick



wrap the chain around the crank pulley, and the part you are supposed to grip with your hands will lock against the subframe, then you crank away at the crank nut, and VOILA! Some damage will occur to the crank pulley, but only very minor and only if yo uget the chain going across the grooves... here is a link from sears
