mating a k20a2 head to a k24 accord motor?

Is it possible to put a k20a2 head on a k24 accord motor, if it isnt why is it not possible. I heard that a k20a2 head will only fit on a k24 crv motor, is this true??

The valve reliefs on the pistons don't line up properly.

If you swap the pistons with crv tsx or aftermarket you should be fine..

ok i clayed my motor today, a k24a4 with a k20a2 head and the clearances were fine, have any of you actually checked ptv clearance or our you just going by what other people have said, or maybe I got lucky with the motor then.

So you put your RSX head on the Accord motor and everything lined up when you clayed it?

yes i put a rsxs head on my k24 accord motor, clayed the motor and then I scaled the piston and clay, the measurements were more then .040". Everything lined up and had no problems.
