Not sure if I'm posting in the right section so sorry if I'm not. In case anyone is interested here you go.... I'm currently Building a k24/k20 engine and my friend is rebuilding a ka24. Found it a bit funny how both are engines are K engines... So I've decided to make comparisons. KA24's are known for being able to handle boost in case you didn't know. Our K series... not so much. Anyways here's some comparisons of rods and cranks. I'll post pictures of our blocks and pistons later. The smallers rods are obviously the k24 and the crank on the right is the k24.

I can't tell if you're being serious. You realize there are $400 k24a4 bottom ends pulled straight out of Accords (untouched, not built) making 450+ hp with a snail....? Built k series make even more.

I meant stock engines, build up our engines are amazing. I do realize there are some K series engines that can handle boost but it is to my belief that most don't handle it as well as the Ka series. I never said the k24a4 can't make power or that the ka is better. Just a comparison of engine parts, only comparison I did is thag the ka can take more boost on average than our k can, on stock internals.

Well I'm not going to argue which is better which is not, though I Think our Ks are better. Anyways the point was that the Ka could handle more boost than ours on stock internals regardless of the power outputs. Or am I still wrong?

Who cares about the boost number, what you really mean is what motor can handle more cyl pressure and make more power. A KA that needs 20psi to make 450hp vs a K24 that needs 13psi doesnt = KA is better at handling boost. It needs more boost to make the same power.
KA24 has a nice rod ratio.. 1.72:1

honda K's can handle boost just fine.. 400hp is childs play.. id rather make 400hp on 15psi as opposed to 400hp on 25psi.. ka24's arent very good motors and arent in the same class as a honda k series

yep ka are crap, if gonna compare the k to a nissian motor at least make it a formidable one like the 2001+ sr20ve's.

KAs are weak. Just because a KA-T is a cheaper alternative to an SR, does not make it a better engine. Yes, they can be strong, but not bone stock like the K-series honda engines.
This is honestly cringe they're both great engines and either could be better depending on the setup the could make same power on the same setup really you need to think of the fact that if you turbo is bigger at that same psi it's moving more air so of course it's gonna make more you just gotta make sure you get upgraded rods and Pistons and a cam for a ka but make sure you got fueling because people undermined this and blow their motors up but at 20psi with the right setup this engine can make 450-500
