Yes i am definitely going with aftermarket pistons and rods just wanted to be sure that would stop the p2v contact. Also in an a4 does the oil port also need to be blocked?

While your in there may as well change rods cause a4 rods will work with the a2 pistons but a4 rods are really small and on the weak side. There has been some people that have been able to run k20 head on a stock a4 bottom end by limiting vtc. I’ve never tried cause usually you can get an a4 in my area for 150-200. So I usually take the left over money and do up the bottom end, rods bearings and pistons and depending on what plans the are for motor, I throw a k20a2 oil pump in it.
