I have a K24a2 out of an 06 TSX
. Im looking to buy to a Civic SI k20z3 LSD transmission. My question is..Is changing the gear selector and the speed sensor the only way of doing it Or Is there another way I can do this? Can I use different cables and shifter (tsx i read???) to work with the k20z3 transmission and hook my VSS up to hondata So I dont have to open the trans/Drill the case?

You can use accord shifter box and cables with the k tuned bracket. Or there’s the speed converter from k tuned as well. The rsx gear selectors are going up steeply in price because of this conversion, last one I saw on eBay was asking $500 🙄🙄🙄

Hey did you ever find a good solution for this or go through with it? I'm literally trying to do the exact same thing in a 98 EK hatch. Thanks for any help you may be offer to give me.

The Hybrid Racing Z3 shifter box and stock cables work well. I have that setup in my EG and like it. The throw of the shifter is pretty short, though, if that sort of thing would bug you.

Awesome! Thanks for replying. I'm new to K Swap and some of this stuff is a little confusing and it seems that the majority of people do not do the K24A2/K20Z3 pair so I was having a difficult time finding any info. I also did not want to have to mess around inside the transmission swapping out gear selectors and sensors because I have no idea what I'm doing as far as the inner workings of a transmission lol

Well, provided there aren't other issues with the pairing the HR shift box solves the shifter/cable problem. It's a very well built unit! I've got a k20z3 with my gearbox, so I can't speak for that stuff, but the K24 won't impact the shifting bits.
