k24a2 or k20a2 crank pulley on all motor build

question other than a slight weight difference is there a big benefit on swapping a k20a2 crank pulley onto a tsx motor opposed to keeping the TSX crank pulley?

would I regret not doing it down the road?

any positives of keeping the TSX crank pulley over a k20a2?

I used the k20z1 crank pulley and would recommend finding one of those for the N/A build. Its the smallest
The smaller dia crank pulleys will also slow down the water pump, alternator and A/C compressor(if equipped). If it is a DD I wouldnt opt for the PRC pulley from the typeR/Z3 engines, the PRB(A2) crank pulley is small enough.
Would there ever be a negative effect of not using the bigger pulley designed for the the motor? If not why didn't HONDA just use the K20a pulley?

Using a smaller puller will underdrive your accessories, your alt and waterpump will turn slower per RPM. If you're going to be spinning it higher than the factory rev limit for the K24, you will want a smaller pulley, because the new operating RPM may overdrive the factory components.

If high revving, I would be looking at options like fluidampr and ati dampers.

You don't necessarily want the smallest pulley. You want one that can properly dampen the harmful vibrations that occur. In that case, I wouldn't try second guessing oem dampers, I would go for a k24 damper. I figure honda is smarter than I am :)
Thats exactly what i was trying to get at, why would honda put a larger pulley on the k24 with the k20a and a2 at their disposal to begin with.
The K20A3 in the EP3 has the same crank pulley damper as the K24's, it is more RPM related rather than displacement related.

The K20A has a higher rev limit from the factory along with the higher FD(more revs at any MPH). This prevents the coolant pump from cavitation/aeration of the coolant at high rpm's. If you are going to spin the K24 up rather high(still below k20 revs) then go with the A2 damper. The Honda dampers do not have any balancing properties, but are used to dampen the harmonics as mentioned above.

My A2/Z3 runs a bit warmer than the A3 did at lower RPM's, but as soon as you get the rev's up the temps drop.
