hello everyone,

I have had the swap done for awhile now and drove it around 500+ miles but havent drove the car in months because of cords showing on my tires and a small coolant leak...

the car ran fine no problems but when i went to start it up the other day i couldnt turn the motor just hear the starter click one time and nothing, so i got a new battery same thing then i got a new starter same problem... now here comes the weird part i can turn the motor over with a racket a couple of times and then go start the car maybe 3 or 5 times in a row no problem then it will start all over again... i dont want to have to carry tools in the car just to turn the motor over by hand to get my motor to start haha... my cousin is a mechanic and he thinks its electrical like a senor or something but i dont know where to start... any help would be great thanks everyone...

Make sure all your grounds are good. Check for blown fuses. Double check your two connections at the starter. Make sure you are getting power to the starter. Seems kind of odd since you have a new battery and a new starter. I had a similar problem where I let my car sit over the winter. Went to start it this week and it didn't crank. I checked all the things I mentioned above which led me to believe it was a bad starter. Changed that and it fired right up. Good luck.

is the problem intermittent; wont start after running, wont start when cold etc...

i was having the same issue and it was my ignition. replaced battery, car started fine for a few days and same issue. replaced starter, car started fine for a few days then same issue. replaced main relay from the dealer, car started fine for a few days then same issue etc... i repaired the wires in my ignition (had alarm installed from previous owner and it was hacked and it was just a shit installation) by soldering them and heat shrinking and bam. car works like a charm. mine wouldnt start after running for a few minutes. the starter would just click click click

Thanks for the input guys. I checked all listed above and still having the same problem. The only way I can turn the motor over when it just clicks is to turn the key over a million very fast and it will turn over after awhile or just turn it over with a wrench and then turn the key and it will start. I think either the starter just does not have enough tq to turn the engine over for some reason or its my ignition system or something.

did you ever get it fixed? im having the same issue with mine as well. click click click and nothing. ive been using a screw driver on the starter between the two connectors to get it going. ive been having this issue for YEARS. motor has been in three different cars and the same thing happens after some time. when it gets cooler its more likely to start. hot days i can forget it.

ive replaced the batter alternator and the starter. all new parts and still the same thing. im beyond frustrated at this point and will just be running a push button for the starter but i cant rule out the main relay going out due to the vibration in car. any othe ideas?
