Yea that's what I've been wondering...everything I've seen lately has been stating that all the K heads have 50.5cc chambers, but why is the compression 2 points higher when a k20 is slapped on a k24 block than it is in a k20? I have been searching for the past few days and can't find a definant answer. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanksthere is no difference in valve angle, at least with the older k24s. I'm not sure on the '08 or '09 models
I had wiseco 89mm k24 13.7:1 cr pistons...according to wiseco's site the same pistons could be used in a k20 for a 11.7:1 cr
So you have built a k24a2 with the original k24a2 head? How much VTC could you run?there is no difference in valve angle, at least with the older k24s. I'm not sure on the '08 or '09 models

stroke of 99mm vs 86mmbut why is the compression 2 points higher when a k20 is slapped on a k24 block than it is in a k20? I have been searching for the past few days and can't find a definant answer. Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
I have not built a k24a2 yet... I only owned a set of pistons. how much VTC depends on heavily on cams, piston reliefs, was the head milled? block decked?... in other words clay the motor & find out for your specific case.G AE82 said:So you have built a k24a2 with the original k24a2 head? wouldn't the difference in block heights compensate for the the stroke? i just cant figure out how they are doing their calculations i guess. all the online compression calculator programs come up with a different numberstroke of 99mm vs 86mm
using math (fractions) 11.7/13.7 roughly equals 86/99
