Hi all, long time lurker not many posts to my name :)

Recently build a k24a ( japanese 3 lobe engine.) With wieseo pistons, eagle rods and stock crank.

All bearing clearances came out within spec ( slightly on the looser side on the mains ( 0.0013")

i used ACL thrust washers, now my issue is my end play i measured to be well within spec for the k engine ( i've never build one of these before done many 4g63s and 3s's) but i can hear and feel the end play i was wondering if this is normal for these engine or maybe im just hearing assembly lube on the thrust washers. Anyone got any pointers?

Kind Regards

If it's within spec I wouldn't be concerned. If the end-play spec for the K24 is larger than you're used to, it could be related to the fact the K24 is an aluminum block and the 4G63 and 3S engines are iron blocks. Aluminum would want a bit more end play at room temperature to account for main journals growing more than the crank.
