I've heard that with the K24 swap into an EG that it would cause horrible handling since it weighs alot more than the k20. Anyone know anything on this? thanks alot

Someone correct me if i'm wrong but the weight differences between the two are marginal K24 is like 3 inches taller. Weight wise i don't believe its a big deal. maybe 5-15lbs. if that.
the motor is 19.7mm taller, for those who are metrically impaired that is under one inch

the motor is said to be AT MOST 15lbs heavier then the K20, which i dont even see being possible

does it even have as much hardware in the head as the K20?

no, the cams should be lighter since they have less lobes... and the rockers themselves are alot less complicated since the VTEC isnt the same!

but its not enough to make an overal noticable difference in handling

I have the K24 in my EG and it handles just fine. I use a large Eibach front bar (1.25" I think) with the ITR rear bar. I just swapped the poly end link bushings for some rubber ones to put less understeer in it but haven't had a chance to drive it hard since it's been raining the past few days....One thing that made a noticeable difference was swapping the regular battery for a small Odyssey one. Got rid of about 15 lbs up front...

Well compared to a b or h series swapped Civic it not only has the trans on the better side but the motor sits a little further back which in fact helps out handling tremendously.

The further you mount the motor forward the better for drag racing the further you set it rearward the better it will handle.
