Hmmmmm no shit huh... Dayamnnn lol
I looked into the j's racing carbon fiber crx hood but I dont want to buy it for 1k if its not going to work!
The J's one will most likely fit a K24 swap with a good bit of clearance underneath it. The BIG problem with the hood is the central ventduct which
imo will not clear anything other than maybe an RBC, so after spending over a G to get it here etc your left with running an oem manifold... not worth it. Also if you look at where the valve cover makes contact with the VIS hoods etc, I would have to be sure that it would clear the bulge on the J's hood. It would be close.
I have contacted a vendor on Honda-tech about making a replica of the J's hood but without the vent but he never even contacted me back. The other issue is to my knowledge there is only a couple of these hoods in North America. I know a guy in Socal that has a new one but I doubt he would be willing to loan it out, I cant even get him to give me pictures of the underside  .
Im thinking of looking more into it in the spring summer. If a company can make a copy of it for both the SiR and domestic style front end they will sell a good amount of them. The K swap is getting more popular, motors and parts are more readily available, total cost of a swap has dropped, I think there will be a market for these in the coming few years. The J's hood is the only EF/CRX hood with a bulge ive ever seen that actually looks good, every other one from the Gude to the custom ones in the CRX/EF section look like complete ghetto ass and I could never run them on my car...
For reference
If you look at the first picture you can really see how much the section has been raised, looks like 1.5-2.75 inches in some parts. The K24 block is 19.7mm taller than the K20 ~ 4/5th of an inch
