Right on thanx alot man :D . Right now im looking for some engines. All i can find for my budget is a complete K24 longblock sensors/wiring/pulleys etc. Im trying to find something with all that stuff rather then hunt them down.Im gettin the longblock cause they want more for the block then the block & head. .As for a tranny i can get a k20 5speed.( Im not to worried about gettin the 6 speed tranny for now.) I just want to get the swap in,then save up for other parts. Anybody got any suggestions??? thanx

I wouldnt recommend using the rsx 5 speed transmission with a type s headed engine. The gearing is much taller than a rsx 6 speed tranny, and you will drop out of vtec on every shift, unless the vtec point is set at 4k rpm.It will be worse with the k24 block,as the engine doesnt rev as high as the type s block, and the rpm drop would be even lower.I just ha a swap done with this transmission and will be swapping to a civic si transmission than I have laying around to see if it helps.

Don't forget the RXS-S uses a factory 205/55-16 tire, while most people run a 205/50-15(or similar o.d.) on a earlier civic and integra. That's an approximate difference in tire o.d. of almost 2"! Don't forget the smaller tire o.d. will shorten gearing.

For reference...
205/50-15 o.d.=23.07
205/55-16 o.d.=24.88
