Hi, Ive searched and read, possibly missed it but... When you swap in a k24 do you use the k24 manifold ? Or the A2 mani ?

I ask because I am about to buy a k24 with no intake manifold for fairly cheap, is this a bad move ? Can/should/ would/ I need to swap the a2 manifold anyhow ?

If the a2 manifold doesnt bolt onto the k24 head, and im supposed to use the k24 manifold, then ill just go ahead and get a k24 with a manifold.

And just to be sure, I can buy an AWD k24 if Im sticking the A2 tranny on it, correct ? Just making sure theres no differences for some reason.

Thanx and sorry if this has been covered already, I couldnt find it and dont want to make a wrong move...

Will the K24a1 manifold and TB fit under the hood and not poke the front supports or radiator okay ?

Will the K24a1 TB bolt up to the K20a2 Manifold ?

Does the a2 manifold have an advantage ?

Thanx, sorry If I missed a post talking about this, I coudlnt find any regarding this info.

1. Depends on what car you have, none of the k24's in Civic's or Integra's poke the radiator or supports. Theres a hood clearence problem in the 92-95 civic WITH THE K24

Go in the 92-95 section and look at Tech43 racings civic.

2. I never tried that. Most likey I dont think so, cause its angled on the manifold.

3. Yes thats why its used. The point to using the K24a1 is the displacement/Stroke, the head is crap, so thats why you swap the k20A2 I-VTEC head with triple lobes on both sides.

It flows better man. K24a1 was ment to haul CR-V not zip around in a Civic.

I do see that hood clearence issue in that picture, although if removing the inner webbing of the hood is the only issue (usig the hasport mounts) that seems like a very minor issue.
I have a DelSol btw.

Thanx again for the info.

P.S. If this is a k24a1 w/hasport mounts. The hight of the valve cover sticking out of the engine bay seems a little high to just be cleared by removing the webbing from under the hood. Did the hasport mounts change or is this just an illusion ?
