Mine friend just bought a k24 out of a TSX that came with the k24 longblock, ECU, wiring harness. This is gonning into an 89 CRX Si.

We need to know what all we will need to get the K20a2 head to work and make the frankin motor.

As far I have seen we will need:
K20A2 head
rsx type-s ECU then upgrading it to K-pro
rsx type-s Tranny (since we have no tranny)
Axles
Changing the TB to an rsx type-s one

What else do we need. Thanks,

You've already got a really good head on that TSX engine, I wouldn't bother swapping on a Type S one.

But add to your parts list some kind of header.

Some people on this board have claimed that the TSX head is a superior head to type S..So stick with it..

but can you rev higher with the k20a2 head and thus make more power top-end?

Plus doesn't a k24 block/k20a2 head make some impressive power?

The tsx head runs the same style Vtec system as the Type S..

Yes, the tsx head is good or even better that the type S. The reason is torque. If you can make the same power a type S head makes at lower RPM, then you are good to go.

when you guys are using the TSX K24....are you using an Accord TB, since the Accord doesn't have the DBW TB, and the other thing is whick ECU are you using?

So if I wanted to just use the K24 motor, would I have to run it off a RSX type-s ecu, then hondata k-pro that to be able to tune it? Especially if I supercharge the engine?

Also do I need to still run the k24 off of a RSX TB?
