Rebuilding an 05 element transmission and adding a 6th gear from a tsx.

the original counter shaft I had was damaged I ordered a used one online and everything with that counter shaft matches up but my old shaft had an oil channel along with the port holes the new one does not. I’m assuming Honda changed the countershaft design at some point. The store says it’s from an 06 civic si but all the countershafts I’ve seen from that car look like mine with a groove.

in 2011 the part number changes for the collar that goes at the end im thinking that collar now has the oil channel why they would move it or remove it I don’t know.

my original and the oil channel are on the right with the arrow does anyone have experience with this?

I'd say it's a revision. Enough machine work goes into these that skimping on an ez cut would be foolish? You seem to know more about the specifics than I do. Make sure you use the coinsiding collar for that yr,make,model.
