the tsx and type s head are pretty similar.. Only reason to put a type s head on a k24a2 from a tsx is if you have one ready to go and you don;t want to deal with making the tsx head work... The tsx head basically needs one port welded ($40) and a manifold that will work with it.

As far as the way VTEC works, both heads work the same way with the 3 lobe cams etc... So, if you don;t have a type s head laying around.. no need to buy one if you have a tsx head.

if you use RBC intake manifold, then you don`t must need any welded port into TSX head....
are you sure about that?

So this is the flange for the RBC/Euro R mani... is the port on the left the coolant port? and is that the same place that it is on the TSX mani?

so then theres no point throwing on a k20a2 head on a k24a2 tsx block, if the heads are pretty much the same, if the difference is really just to weld one hole, then keep the tsx head.....im very new to k-series, correct me if im wrong but tsx and crv share the same block right ???, there both k24's, crv is k24a1 and tsx is k24a2, any differences between the 2 blocks ???...also, can f20c head fit k24 ???....sorry i know im a newb

the blocks are very similar. the TSX has slightly higher comp pistons and I think the rods may be a little stronger as well...

Not really sure though

Yes, no point unless you have one around (type s head).

The k24a2 is different than the CRV. Of course the stock pistons/rods are different.. the cranks should be pretty similar..

The bare blocks has a small minor difference. The TSX girdle has a raised ridge or hump right down the middle. The CRV K24A1 block does not have this ridge.
That makes a small difference if you want to use the k20a2 oil pump that doesn't have the balance shafts. The CRV will accept the k20a2 oil pump with no problems.. THe tsx block will need a small amount of work to fit..

very nice... Thank You very much sir. :)

So from the pictures I would venture to say that the Euro R mani is a direct bolt on to the K24a2 TSX block... and retains the OEM coolant passage that everyone has been welding shut.

It looks like your ITR mani uses 1 less manifold bolt than the TSX or Euro R mani does.

Well if I don't go ITB's I will definetly be getting one of these mani's even if I do have to find some custom way to get a throttle body on there, since none of the OEM units are a direct bolt on...

and you have to find a way to block the passage on the back of the thermosta housing since it doesnt have anywhere to go.

the second pic is my car from before my swap. looks the same except 5 lug now with gunmetal PC stock rsx wheels. so basically the same look
never cap that, it's your water recirculation port, that goes to your heater core, each engine needs a continuous cycle of flow....

then what am i supposed to do with it? it goes no where. the hose that comes off the back where i capped it genneraly lead to the top radiator hose housing. on the tsx block there is no port for it. its a hole on the head that goes nowhere.

the first pic is of the tsx manifold that contains the hose needed to return to the thermostat. the one below is that of the rsx. it basically comes straight off the head, not the manifold. the second pic is the same 2 items upside down. you can see that on the rsx one the hole bigger that bolts up to the head. there is a small hole that the hose is connected to that returns to the thermostat housing. that comes staright off the top radiator hose.

the third picuture is the backside of the tsx top radiator hose connection. it is to show only the one opening that goes into the head. it does not have a separate port for the hose to return to the thermostat.

the 4th pic shows that there is not a way to connect that hose to the port on the head without some custom fabrication

that is my socket adapter in the port that you can see from the front of the head. that is usually covered by the top radiaotor hose housing. i just wanted to show that it goes in about 3 inches and stops. it then goes into the housing and stops. it is the round hole on the bottom. you can see it goes nowhere. some one please help

Yes `im sure, I`m using RBC manifold and TSX head. It`s with very well.

Second port from left side in TSX manifold , it is hooked up port from EGR, it is not important. Important is only egg size port for coolant, and this port is in these same please in TSX head and RBC Manifold.....
