Here it is, K20Z4 swap into a FD1, as you may know the K20Z4 comes from the European Civic Type R (FN2), this motor looks to be a perfect plug and play swap for the 8th Generation series Civics...

FD1 R18 engine removed

The Donor Car

Tip: Remove the 10mm bolts to remove the upper radiator support bar if your going to get this motor out!

Motor out

RRC Manifold from FD2 Type R :)

Parts Currently needed for swap:
FD2 Manual Cross Member (ordered)
Power Steering Pump & High pressure line (need to figure out which one)
FD2 mounts, most of the FN2 mounts look like they are usable

Performance
RRC intake manifold
Bore & Tapper OEM Throttle Body
Install Toda FD2 Header
Install Hondata style intake manifold gasket
Hondata Flashpro

If anyone has performed this swap, be great if you can share your experiences with this swap

Sorry guys been busy, swap has been completed with minor difficulties... will post photos up real soon... in all the new CAN style ECU's are quite easy to troubleshoot. Anyone who attempts this swap should have the latest HELMS manual and access to either a Honda HDS or a Hondata Flashpro. It will make troubleshooting a whole lot easier!

The Hondata Flashpro will tell you what the codes are and give you the ability to disable EPS/VSA. Engine immobilizer you will need to reprogram with the Honda HDS. The car is due for a dyno tune this week hopefully get a before and after Dyno plot....

Initial shake down of this car... very smooth power delivery considering the manifold change once tuned it should be a lot better... makes a very nice daily driver esp the creature comforts such as Aircon and Power Steering :)
