Mozz,

I think the Hybrid shifter should fit with no issues or minimal issues.

We install a few of the Hybrid shifter to our customer's FD2R with no issues.

And in the earlier year, we installed Mugen shifter for FD2R onto the FN2R. And a few of the FN2R here runs the Mugen FD2R shifter.

So i don't see why Hybrid shifter can't fit.

Thank you.

So, you have FN2s there running FD2 shifters? WIth no issues at all, just straight fit?

I have it in my fg2. I can't say much more than I love it. Once you see it in person, it's definitely worth the money, no doubt. Great quality and I'm sure it can take some abuse.

I've had it for about 10 months and haven't had a single issue. I played with the adjustment for a couple weeks and locked/unlocked the adjustment screws dozens of times, without a problem with the threads or anything. Once I had it set the way I wanted it I pretty much just switch between a tall knob with an extension and a short ball type knob when I'm just riding around town. The height is adjustable, I just use the extension on the tall knob to keep from needing to carry a hex key around when I'm out on the back roads, and want the taller shifter.

Anyway, it's definitely an improvement over stock. You don't need shifter base bushings with it. I plan to get the cables too, even though I can't imagine how it will feel better than it does now.

Just to add, I have a 08, and according to the VIN I have a tranny that shouldn't have the 3rd gear issue. I've never had it pop out, and I never had the high RPM 2nd gear grind. So I can't comment on rather or not this would help with that. Honestly I can't see how it would, but I've seen a lot of people commenting that cable bushings, base bushing etc, helped them. I never had issues with the oem or this set up. Just throwing that out there.
