person that gave me this head said I can use it no problem I thought I would have problems with vss or problems with loss of power but he insisted on telling me I could run it no problem

why would you do that? The K20a4 has only intake cam VTEC with two lobes.
It will turn the k20a2 bottom end to perform like a K20a4, i.e. produce 50HP less.
The ECU mapping won't work on a k20a2 ECU. It might idle and run, but I would not expect it to "perform".
