does golden eagle put out k20a3 rods i was doing research and all i kept seeing was people saying you need a a2 crank? Please and thank you in the process of making a build thread

IDK but I think BC is the only one who offers or offered A3 rods. Best thing to do would be to check the companies website or google it. A3 is unique to itself.

Honestly if u want to rev higher or add power to it u do needs to ditch that crank and pistons. I would do a a2 or type r crank. I paid $100 for my type r crank on here. The a3 crank is weak.

i did some research on the k20a3 bottom end and the only weak parts it seemed were the rods and rod bolts but i was just going ahead and ordering cp pistons and eagle rods but the title said that the rods fit the k20a3 but furthering my research others said they dont fit due to journal size is alittle off if anyone i dont plan on any crazy crazy hp im just aiming for around 350-400 hp with cp pistons arp headstuds, rod bolts and eagle rods also a comestic headgasket. if anyone ran this setup let me know and if ya know for sure where i can find rods

I think Brian Crower is the only one that makes rods for A3.

What power numbers are you after?

nothing to high due to traction basically and daily driving it in a eg 4 door. around 350-400 ill be beyond satisfied

I've never heard of the A3 crank being weak. I think you'll be fine once you replace the rods.

From what I can find with google .. BrianCrower BC6055 fits a2 and a3 but this one is a lightweight rod.

Manley 14404-4 (turbo tuff) / 14014-4 (h-beam) "should" fit a2/a3/z1/z3 .. but again, it's from a quick 1min google search.

I don't know why some rods will fit an some wouldn't just trying to get the build together but if anyone has a a2 crank cheap ill take it

a2 crank on the top a3 on the bottom...i know for my own motor i wouldn't want to have anything to do with an a3 crank especially when boosting!

I don't care what you find on the interwebz... a K20A, K20A2, K20Z1, and K20Z3 rod will NOT fit a K20A3 crank!

Crower makes a rod for the K20A3. Part number B93733B.

K20A2 rods have a C2C length of 5.473" and a BE ID of 2.008"

vs.

K20A3 rods have a C2C length of 5.453" and BE ID of 1.890"
