As for "Crate" K20A engines, there are only a few, Mugen and Spoon both sell them and the longblock runs around $8,000.00 - $10,000.00 Canadian. The idea and concept of a crate motor is an already built brand new engine from the factory or another supplier. For example, the Spoon and Mugen versions are engine bought directly from Honda Japan, then they are disassembled, balanced, blueprinted, and reassembled to factory spec. This provides a "perfect" engine that will put out more power than the factory engine.Lvep3 said:
Now from reading posts, most people are getting engines from a wreck, like I did for my A2. This is alot cheaper, and alot easier to get a hold of. From my experience, a complete swap should run anywhere in the $3,000.00 - $5,000.00 US range.
