Im testing waters on selling my 2002 K20a2 RSX Type S engine and 2003 Civic Si transmission. The engine has 12k miles on it when I bought it from a friend at a local dealership who took it from a wrecked car.I was going to use it in my race car,so my shop completely disassembled it,replaced the main and rod bearings with new OEM Honda bearings. The head has a mild NA race port with most of the work dont to the bowls. It would be good for a daily driver. The combustion chambers were polished, with a light deshrouding of the valves. The intake manifold runners were ported(not port matched). It was assembled using a thinner 2 layer headgasket to slightly raise compression. The engine has not been run since being rebuilt. It is extremely clean and in excellent condition. The transmission is from a 2003 civic si,that I bought from a guy on Ebay.I disassembled it and inspected all of the synchro's/gear's to be sure none were damaged, than cleaned all parts and reassembled using Hondabond. The engine has most sensors(cam sensors, coil packs, vtec solenoid,VTC solenoid, crank position sensor etc..),has type s intake and exhaust manifolds, longblock is complete from valve cover to oil pan.In order to have a complete swap you'd need the throttle body, fuel rail, injectors, alternator, water pump bracket(have water pump),crank pulley, oil cooler, clutch, flywheel, harness and ecu.Ive priced all of those parts for around $1000.
Im asking $2800 for everything, plus shipping. The price is negotiable but I'm not in need of any money,so lowballers wont get a response.Im considering starting a new project which is why I'm testing this.I also wont part the engine out,but might part from the tranny. The headwork and IM work normally run's customers around $800,the bearings cost $75 and the Headgasket was $100,so I priced it accordingly. As soon as I get the digital camera from eBay i'll take some pics.
Thanks,
James
