Both are stock..
The K motor has a custom prototype racing headers and a K-pro..

so the b18c-r was bone stock ... no intake, exhaust or anything? ... while k20a has header, kpro? ... doesn't seem like a fair comparison to me ...

I know that the k20a will obviously put down more hp than any b18... my argument was that a k20a with intake, race header, exhaust, tuned hondata was on a dyno against a usdm (not even jdm) b18c5 with only intake, exhaust and untuned stock ecu. I realize that it's a dyno to compare, but imo, it's not a fair comparisongdj said:I know!! Come on I can read (but sometimes I chose not to).
Anyways I said that because people thought that a K20 with ecu against a B18c5 was unfair.
There is a lot more to it than an extra 200ccK2e2vin said:yes it does sound like a unfair test, but the k20a will always make more hp/torque as the b18c because it was designed to have the same characteristics(in a way) as the b18c but also has an extra 200cc of displacement.
of course but i didnt want to go into details, which is why i said "designed to have the same characteristics as the b18c(in a way)"; which is pretty much flat torque band, VTEC(in this case a improved one), a good flowing head, and high-rev.Toda Pwr said:There is a lot more to it than an extra 200ccK2e2vin said:yes it does sound like a unfair test, but the k20a will always make more hp/torque as the b18c because it was designed to have the same characteristics(in a way) as the b18c but also has an extra 200cc of displacement.
