I also was not sure what criteria to vote on. For one thing, the B16 does fit easily with little to no modification while the K20A would make for a very fast CR-X. Also, hood clearance on the USDM CR-X is a problem. If you went with the JDM EF9 front end, that problem would probably be alleviated. But yeah. B series is still awesome...but the tuners are starting to unleash the fury of the K series.

Why don't you drop a GS-R, turbo it if you want. B18's and 16's are very durable engines better then H22's this will be the best bang for the buck. K20's are faster but a little more work and a lot more money (excluding the turbo)

220whp I/H/E/LSD/Kpro/2000lb car K20A N/A
11.5 com can still handle low boost supercharged 300whp+

I race my friends N/A TypeS w/ K20A swap 220whp man its fast and is 760lbs heavier than a CRX and revving 9000rpm in a crx, B16 what?

money low B16 turbo . If I ditched my K24A2 SC for N/A, it would be a K20A w/ kpro or a K20A2 w/ IPS's new cams in a CRX or 93 SI hatch.

b16a swap is alot easier and cheaper...but if its' power and killer engine bay looks ...k20 is the way to go...it's rocket fast compared to a b16a crx..it takes some time to do the swap but will be worth the wait...low 13 second 1/4 mile runs on bone stock motor with street tires makes the people go WTF???

my buddy and i did our swap near the same time... his swap took 2 weeks, mine too a week and a half. he went with the b16, i went with the k20. he spent 1000, i spent 4500. he runs high 14's i run mid to high 13s. we both have fun and enjoy our cars.

another way to think about it..>>having fun with the b16 was like getting a blowjob, and having fun with the k20 was like getting laid.

alos... think if he put the same amount of money in his b16 as i did my swap... im sure he would be faster than me, but he would also be nearing some kind of limitations to the engines capabilities

I went for the K20, the B16 is cheap and gives great performance for what it is but the K20 give you at least 13's stock with stock honda reliability. With the K the block can stay stock and work the head and well we all know what that can do....I was never a fan of the B16, If Im going be series Im going with a GSR at least, maybe use the B16 tranny though.

This poll is obviously going to be biased. Of course everyone is going to vote K20A (me included), thats what this site is all about.

Bottom line:
B16A: Good for people on a budget that just want something half decent.
K20A: Good for people that have performance goals, and want something really fast.
