1.)Strip old paint off with Aircraft Remover
2.)Stand and clean the surface
3.)Mask off all areas that you don't want painted (oil cap hole, spark plug holes...)
4.)Use a high temp primer (Duplicolor, VHT, Plasticote) and give the valve cover a few coats of primer (I did 2 or 3 coats)
5.)Use a wrinkle paint (I used either Duplicolor or Plasticote, I can't remember) and apply as instructed on the can. For best results use a hair dryer or do it out in the hot sun to help wrinkle/cure the paint.
You can buy the paints at Pep Boys or Autozone. *Prepping the surface is the most important part of the process. If you do not spend a lot of time on this, the paint will crack, chip, or just plain turn out looking like shit if you do not do it properly
