hey I have a k20 oil pump, chain and windage tray that i want to swap into a 07 k24a2. would I need to get the chain guid and tensioner off of a k20 or can i use the ones on the k24a2 motor?

DIY project from 1-10 what would you guys rate the difficulty level of this project?

disassembly to tackle this project do you refer to helms manual or another form of guidance to do this.

How difficult would you say it is to do it myself other than modifying oil pump which i would have someone else do?

There is no modification needed to the pump. You can use the RSX helms to get the torque specs and install procedures.

Doesn't the bottom of the k20 oil pump need to be shavedor a piece cut from it so it can mount correctly? I've seen the install pics on an 05 k24a2. Is the 07 different?

To add to what talonxracer said the k20 pump dosen't need to modified to fit the a1 blocks. for the a4 and a2 it does need to be modified.

I stand corrected, I forgot the K24A2 uses the stepped girdle as well,,,,sorry for the misinfo and glad that Adam caught that! LOL
