Hello K20A - my first post and I need help.
I have a K20 JDM installed in a Lotus Elise. It has a K100.
The car began cutting out momentarily on the track (only on a straight). I incorrectly diagnosed faulty fuel pump relay - external pump. At the next meeting the cutting out became worse - more frequent and for longer. Previously it cut out for a couple of seconds then cleared its throat and was off again. The car then began idling really rough and was hunting and was very rich. Occasionally during the day the car started and ran well but would soon revert to the rough, rich running. We initially thought TPS but it gave progressive readings so we ruled that out. We tried a known MAP sensor and that didn't help. We checked the continuity of the O2 wires and they checked out. I cleaned the IACV and it spins freely. I can start the car after it has been sitting for five minutes or so but it cuts out and becomes increasingly hard to start.
Any suggestions gratefully received.

Turned out to be crank sensor. The give away was that it was harder to start than previously.
