K-Tuned RSX Header

MSRP: $649.99 (304 Stainless Steel)
MSRP: $489.99 (409 Steel)

Add Catalytic Converter: This can be added to either header for an additional $150.

Applications: Direct bolt-on for all 02-06 RSX Type-S models but will also fit RSX premium/base models that are using or switching to a Type-S exhaust system.

The goal with any performance header design, is to get exhaust gases to flow out of the engine faster and more efficiently, which in turn will produce more power and performance. The K-Tuned RSX Header was designed with this exact theory in mind and utilizes a proven 4-2-1 Tri-Y design with extremely smooth slip fit merge transitions to increase the exhaust flow and power output of the Honda K engine. Like most Tri-Y designs, power gains are seen almost everywhere in the power band, not just the top end. Fitment is equally if not more important to us than function and although the subrame and swaybar on the RSX presented some design challenges, the final fitment was definitely worth some extra time. The secondary tubing passes perfectly through this tight area with extra clearance for engine movement.

The header features stepped piping beginning with 44mm primaries that progressively move into 48mm, then 50mm secondaries and finally a 64mm or 2.5” exit. Like all our headers, it is assembled with mandrel bent, 304 stainless steel tubing and is fully tig welded. We also use slightly thicker gauge tubing that allows for better weld penetration and additional strength. The CNC cut 3/8" thick flanges are also double welded and then ported for optimum flow at entry and exit. This header directly replaces the OEM 2 piece design and eliminates the catalytic converter so we included a short 2.5" test-pipe with defouler for the secondary O2 sensor. Please note that our cat option is now available for $150 extra. Be sure to check out our 3" Oval Tube Exhaust System for the RSX if you haven't seen it already.

Where were these when my RSX was still new? :)

Yeah, but my RSX is a winter beater now with a "leftovers" swap. :) It's a previously hydrolocked K20Z3 block using a rod and piston from my blown-up K20A2 and using my CRV head with the pin-swapped 1/2 VTEC mod since I no longer have lost motion springs in there. The mod where one valve always rides on the big lobe.

The header will bolt up and clear everything on the EP3 properly with one exception. It does not match up to the mid-pipe. You will need to do a little exhaust fab work to get the header exit and mid-pipe connected.

RSX Header

...we do plan to offer an option for a cat in the future. ...
Would be cool if the cat option also came with a test pipe. Best of both worlds: simply swap them out and load the right calibration in K-Pro to switch from street to strip mode

The cat version is already available for $100 extra.
The order must be placed with K-Tuned.
Cats are welded into the test pipe section and are made in house.

What is the power gains you would see with the k tuned race header and 3" oval straight through exhaust on an ep3? I already have the 3" straight through exhaust.

Every setup is different so posting dyno numbers isn't something we normally do. I will say that with proper tuning gains should be pretty noticeable.
