Brad - CRV is the preferrable block over accord/element because of the girdle. I haven't dropped the oilpan on the TSX yet to verify if it will accept the K20A(2) oil pump directly without any milling to the girdle. On the accord/element blocks, there is a raised hump down the center that will not let the oil pump bolt on without modification. You'll most likely want to eliminate the CRV's integrated balance shaft/oil pump. Sounds like you're good to go.

you cannot just bolt on a type S or R oil pump on a TSX block.

I have modifed an oil pump housing to bolt up to a TSX block if you want it...hit me up. Its a type R oil pump.

He doesn't have a TSX block, so no worries. The CRV block accepts the K20A(2) oil pump just fine. Thanks for confirming the TSX has the same raised center section on the girdle. The K20A(2) oil pump just needs to be notched to clear and all is well. Or, mill the girdle whichever is more convenient.
