Alright, well I'm new to the whole K-series scene and I'm planning out a swap for my '92 EG. I'd like to buy a K20a-R and would also like to drop in a set of Intrinsic cams and from what I can tell all the dyno charts and testing have been on USDM motors or is that my misunderstanding?? Would the stock R valvetrain be able to handle the cams or just do the recommended upgrade??? Tuning and timing will all be done by K-Pro.

Ron do you have any input??

Thanks for any help guys.

Yes, all testing to date has been with K20A2. We haven't verified K20A just yet, but in any case - the valvetrain will require upgrade.

The valve reliefs on the PRC piston should theoretically be the same, if not slightly greater, than PRB - due to the ITR cams having longer duration. The dome on the PRC piston is .5mm taller than PRB, however.

We will be fitting our cams into a JDM K20A very soon. Thanks for the continued interest and support!

We have verified that both PRB (RSX-S, K20A2) and PRC (ITR, K20A) pistons have identical valve relief. The 0.5cr point differential in favor of the PRC piston comes from a slightly taller dome, which measures 0.5mm greater than PRB.

We will be dyno testing our cams in a JDM K20A for complete verification and compatibility.
