I've had hybrid mounts on my car for about a year and a half. How do i know if they are version 1 or 2? They're the dark grey mounts with a chrome piece on the pass. side and the other two (rear and driver) are chrome pieces. Thanks for the help.

If by chrome you mean billet aluminum, and by dark grey you mean black powder coated steel, then you've got the gen 2 mounts. Of course, pics would help me give you a definitive answer. Were they purchased new a year and a half ago?

Our gen 1 mounts were 100% aluminum (excluding the fasteners). The gen 2 mounts come in 2 versions, aluminum/steel, or all steel. We have never sold a chromed mount (although we do offer anodized mounts). If you look at our website (which has the gen 2 mounts on it), that should help you out.

They definitely aren't black powder coated, and i know they aren't chrome but i was just trying to describe the finish. I'll post pics tomorrow, and yes they were bought new through corsport a year and a half ago. Think they're gen 1s?

They seem to be working fine, so i don't think i'll need to upgrade anytime soon, i was curious because i was looking at the battleground header and it requires the type 2's. Is there any difference in the two gens that would change the way the header sits?

Yes, the 2nd gen mounts put the engine in a position that makes them fit with all of the current k swap headers on the market. When we designed the gen 1's, there weren't any headers available, so it was made to fit with a tsx header. You also need different axles when going with the gen 2's.

Shoot well eff that. haha. So what headers fit for sure? Does your header on the website fit the 1st gens? It says 2nd gen, so idk. Also, what kind of power does that header make over the dc?

Neither of them will work. When we designed our original mounts none of those headers where on the market... :(
Well shit. I won't be able to afford $1k for a header. Plust part of me just isn't willing to pay it i don't think. Any ideas of a different route i could go? I take it the header on your site for the 2nd gen's doesn't fit either? Is it just an elevation issue with the header sitting too low or too high with the Rcrew etc? Sorry for all the questions, but i really appreciate the answers.
