From another thread. The prelude part only works if you do not have a hole on the side of the block.

Prelude oil cooler joint not thread, Not the same thread, not use it.

Pretty sure i got a socket that fit it - i had to go pick it up tho it was huge like 32mm or something?

You are supposed to torque it to spec..

get yourself two 20mm nut and lock these together.Its the right way to do it.

The pump with the actual housing? No. There's a part where the bolt holes won't line up near the back since it's got an extension.

The Prelude does work if you don't have the hole on the side of the block if you do have the hole you can reuse all of your k20a2/z1 stuff (only on k24a2) or use the s2k joint.

I believe this is the hole that everyone is talking about. This is on a K24a2 BTW.

Is an oil cooler even necessary on the k24a2? There is a nut already blocking off this area on my engine block.

If you have that hole you can reuse the parts off of the K20a2. Look at the back of your k20z1 and you will notice a joint pipe bolted in there, just remove it and bolt it on to the k24a2 and you are good to go. If you have that hole but don't have the bolt hole then use the S2k joint. If that hole is non existant on your block you can use the prelude joint.
