From another thread. The prelude part only works if you do not have a hole on the side of the block.

I may have found a better oil cooler barb thingy... It's from a Prelude (H22A4) . I noticed it on Darton's Honda instructions for their sleeves. Had to try it out. It works!

If you can't see the pics, the part # is 11107-PK2-003. Also, there's a sealing ring (washer) for the above part with the part # 90401-PR4-000.

Advantage here over the S2000 oil joint is it prevents crud from getting onto the threads at the wider opening.

New part! :)

S2000 oil cooler joint currently in place but not threaded in all the way.

Prelude oil cooler joint in place (not threaded in completely)

Quick test fitting of the hose.

P.S. I will shrink the pics down at a later time. :)

That is a great find, it will be far stronger due to the flanged design.

im installing an oil cooler on k24a1 right now and i tried both K20A(JDM) and S2000(JDM) joints. s2000 is smaller and k20a joint fits better because it is a bit longer.. i am installing k20a water pump and cooler on the block.

The water pumps are significantly different and require the proper coolant passageway be used.

What are the benefits of adding an oil cooler? Engine longevity?

Is it really beneficial on a DD?
longer oil life, more stable oil temps reducing the effects of having oil too thin(bearing and piston wear)

it's beneficial enough honda installed them on a few of their newer cars....

I use vice grips. You will destroy it.
thats what i was thinking but i was scared about it not coming off and just totally destroying the filter thread, so instead of just installing the oil cooler on the block i just ran a hose from the a2 pump strait to the block bypassing the oil cooler. anyone know if this would cause problems?
